Hadde vi ikke satt i gang denne prosessen og kommet så langt som dette, så hadde vi havnet langt bak i køen den dagen sentrale myndigheter velger å sette i gang utbygging.\n\n## Bakgrunn for forslaget\n\nSamarbeidsprosessen har pågått over tid.\n\nAllerede 8. mai 2025 ga kommunestyret i Lyngdal direktøren fullmakt til å forhandle fram en selskapsavtale.\n\n– Nå til dags er ikke kjernekraft det samme som før i tida. Dette er jo fremtiden, så jeg er veldig trygg på å sette i gang denne prosessen, sier ordfører Unni Nilsen Husøy.\n\nDa saken sist var oppe i formannskapet, snakket hun også om utviklingen i energidebatten:\n\n– Det har skjedd en enorm utvikling. Energibehovet blir større og større, og skal man møte framtiden, må man være avhengig av mer kraft. Som jeg har sagt mange ganger, Lyngdal kommune har aldri vært en kraftkommune, men det betyr ikke at vi ikke kan bli det.",

Hadde vi ikke satt i gang denne prosessen og kommet så langt som dette, så hadde vi havnet langt bak i køen den dagen sentrale myndigheter velger å sette i gang utbygging.</p><amedia-placeholder index=\"9\" wordcount=\"225\" /><h2>Bakgrunn for forslaget</h2><p>Samarbeidsprosessen har pågått over tid.</p><amedia-placeholder index=\"10\" wordcount=\"230\" /><p>Allerede 8. mai 2025 ga kommunestyret i Lyngdal direktøren fullmakt til å forhandle fram en selskapsavtale.</p><amedia-placeholder index=\"11\" wordcount=\"246\" /><p>– Nå til dags er ikke kjernekraft det samme som før i tida. Dette er jo fremtiden, så jeg er veldig trygg på å sette i gang denne prosessen, sier ordfører Unni Nilsen Husøy.</p><amedia-placeholder index=\"12\" wordcount=\"280\" /><p>Da saken sist var oppe i formannskapet, snakket hun også om utviklingen i energidebatten:</p><amedia-placeholder index=\"13\" wordcount=\"294\" /><p>– Det har skjedd en enorm utvikling. Energibehovet blir større og større, og skal man møte framtiden, må man være avhengig av mer kraft.
