Hver dag, fra 1. til 24. desember, samler de «hele Torshov» med kulturelle innslag ut fra bygårdenes vinduer eller ute på plasser på Torshov. Her er det alt fra store navn til nabobarna som opptrer. </p><p>I nominasjonen står det: </p><p><i>«Torshovs levende julekalender har de siste fem årene laget god julestemning hver eneste dag i desember. Alt på dugnad, et kjempebidrag til kulturbydelen og den lokale tilhørigheten! Topp lokal og kortreist kultur og musikk i den mørkeste tida på året. Werrum har ifølge nominasjonene «gjort en sinnssyk innsats for å bevare skolen.»</p><p>I nominasjonene står det: </p><p><i>«Da skolebehovsplanen slo ned som lyn fra klar himmel i mars 2025, mobiliserte Nordpolen FAU et helt enormt engasjement – og det ga resultater. Barneskolen består! FAU har på forbilledlig vis arrangert punktmarkeringer, demonstrasjoner, aksjonsverksted, politisk aktivisme og et enormt medietrøkk.</i></p><p><i>FAU har hentet frem det beste i skolen og nabolaget, og delt dette med omverden på en så tydelig og slagkraftig måte at barneskolen blir bevart. Engasjementet har vært profesjonelt og emosjonelt. Her har foresatte kastet seg rundt og bidratt på ulike måter. Mennesker er brakt sammen!</i></p><p><i>Akkurat nå er det mange som synes det er tungt at u-trinn skal avvikles, og vi får derfor ikke feiret at barnetrinnet består. FAU Nordpolen har skapt aktivitet, lagt ned et uendelig høyt antall frivillighetstimer og vunnet en av kampene. Hun har det siste året kjempet en seig kamp på barnas vegne, for å redde ungdomstrinnet fra å bli lagt ned. </p><p><i>I nominasjonen står det: </i></p><p><i>«Yuna er en av lærerne på Sagene skole som har jobbet natt og dag med å stanse skolebehovsplanens forslag om å legge ned Sagene ungdomsskole. Hun har engasjert og dratt i gang foreldre, hansker inn media og politikere og hjulpet elever med å finne kloke måter å protestere på og få sin stemme hørt. Om noe er viktig for ungdommene på Sagene så er det å beholde nærskolen sin. Gode skoler med lærere som bryr seg om elevene sine, er umistelige. Ved å gi elevene mestringstro og demokratisk kompetanse, bidrar Yuna (og hennes kollegaer) hver dag til å bygge et robust og inkluderende nærmiljø, trygge omgivelser og tilhørighet til bydelen vår for ungdommer på Sagene. Han jobber for å være en god relasjonsbygger, som skal fange opp mye av det som skjer i nabolaget. Han tenker UngMetro kanskje er størst i bydelen på å utjevne forskjeller blant barn og unge. </p><p>Bydel Sagene har mange barn og ungdom som har en annerledes oppvekst, med tanke på materielle ting og økonomi.
